5 facts about Japan

Allow me to express how I feel and what I think of Japan after I visited Japan 2 weeks ago.

1. Punctual

It seems that Japanese have respect with time, almost, no it not almost its 100% every time I ride a train it will leave exactly at the time given. The train will arrive at least 1 minute earlier than the schedule time and depart exactly on time. So, no excuses being late to office or school eh?

2. Respect

They are truly have respect to each other. I really admire this attitude. There's no scene such as cutting line or pushing each other to cut the queue. Every time I off the train I can see all are queuing to take the escalator. If you are in a hurry use the right side of the escalator, people usually will stand at the left side and you can take the right side and keep moving fast!

3. Helpful

I couldn't agree more with this. As a tourist and could not read or speak Japanese its is really hard for us to read the map or information in the pamphlet. For sure the best thing to do is to ask! Don't worry, although some are not familiar with English but they are willing to help you. On the second day touring Tokyo we have no idea how to reload Suica card ( prepaid card for train ) , so we asked a Japanase beside us and he pushed HELP button on the ticket machine and this is what happened.

This is what happened, the officer actually did this! Seriously!! He ask us what happened and immediately came to us and teach us to reload the card! This picture of course is not mine as the incident happened really fast, I actually goggle for this picture. =D

4. Polite & Humble

I do not know how to express this, you imagine "You in a lift from level 8, suddenly the lift stop at level 4. The person who pushed the button at level 4 immediately asked for an apology for you once the door open to pick her up. Once you guys reach the ground floor, she said thank you to you". Speechless, I did not do any favour to her.  But hey, of course it's cheer up my day.

Oh one more thing, they actually stop if the they see you are trying to capture some pictures so they wont photo bomb you picture =)

5. Hygienic

The toilet are super clean! and advanced! Haha believed it or not they even have warmer on the seat. And with the wave of hand, the toilet will automatically flush. Oh did I mention they even have music option? In case you have a serious problem in the toilet you may push the music button and the sound of flush will keep accompany you in the toilet so that you wont feel shy to leave the toilet =D

Clean and advanced toilet

There a few button option there ( see I told you there's music button there!)

Flush with a wave of hand

Oh their toilet are also mom friendly, you can put you child there without worries

I think that's all I can recall right now. All the good things that make us misses Japan so much, the nearer our vacation ends, my other half keep on complaining how badly he will miss Japan after this and how he didn't want our vacation end but too bad the office are waiting, and need to go back to earn some more money.. Hhaha

Unplanned visit to Japan

How should I said this is unplanned trip, while I have full list of itinerary of where we should headed once we landed in Tokyo. My oh my, Tokyo, Japan, never once across in my mind I will put my foot there. The cost of living and Visa approval procedures makes me try to avoid Japan as my dream place to visit.

But Allah surely knows better. Last September, my best friend followed her husband for some job posting to Japan for 3 months. I am excited, and happy for her! but the invitation to visit her in Japan surely make my night sleepless. Counting my saving, expenses, clicking and checking flight tickets everyday, and the most important thing I only have less than 3 months to make it happen. Persuading my hub is also not an easy job, we are currently paying for 2 houses and vacation to overseas of course is not an option.

Hey, I am not that easy to give up! I'll do anything to make my wish come true! Staying with my friend in Japan is the best option ever, we will cut cost for accommodation of course, and secondly we have someone to refer to, I mean how to buy train ticket, to go here and there.. you know as our tourist guide =)

I promise to my hub I will not spending any money on clothes or tudung or do any online shopping for 2 months, teeheee... Oh and also I will cut my lunch budget, and  I will prepare home cooked food to bring to the office! =) So that is how I do my saving in a very short notice.

After web browsing to every flight available to Tokyo, finally I made decision to buy ticket through AirAsia. Yes, it is the cheapest among all. I managed to get ticket from KL To Haneda including meals, seat, luggage and insurance less than 1.5K perperson.  I think it is good enough, or if I wait any longer I just afraid I might loose the opportunity.

So this is how our journey begin, after we booked the flight tickets, I start to make an itinerary for us. A week in Japan surely give us plenty time to visit Tokyo.

Here are some places that I visit during my stay. The picture taken from google, as I haven't transfer any pic from my camera to desktop yet.

Fuji Mountain

Tokyo Tower

Sensoji Temple

Surely I will miss Japan, I really hope we can come back again as soon as possible. I'll try to update more pictures from my own camera after this. Cheers

Resepi sup daging simple

Disebabkan today husband demam and sakit tekak tak sampai hati nak masak daging masak merah. Fikir punya fikir tercetus la idea nak masak sup daging.

Seriously tak perlu nak thaw daging dulu, potong and cuci. Just keluarkan daging yang dah siap rebus tu, and terus masak. Pastu tak payah dah nak rebus lama2 sebab daging tu dah lembut.

Oh yea this is my simple sup daging resepi..

Daging yang dah empuk
Kentang
Tomato
Rempah sup daging
Daun sup

Cara masak:

Rebus air, masukkan daging.
Bila air mendidih boleh masukkan kentang, klau ada carrot boleh masukkan carrot juga!
Kentang empuk masukkan rempah sup, diikuti  tomato dan daun sup. Siap!! Bileh dihidangkan panas2 dengan nasi dengan telur dadar and sambal!!! 😄😄😄

Trip to Lion City part 2

Second night here, we decided to have dinner at Vivo Mall, which located right in front of the stall that we had dinner last night. The scenery behind Vivo Mall is superb, we can view the sea, and across the sea lay Pulau Sentosa, the infamous USS locate.

Harbour Front

Sentosa Island

The big ferry
The last night we were here we managed to pull a trip to Bugis Street. Here is the perfect place to buy gifts and souvenir for family and friends.

I took this picture in front of KFC near Bugis Street

Walking along the street till we stop at the Mosque that named as Masjid Sultan

Stunning isn't it? We ended the day by having dinner at the famous Zam Zam Restaurant. Totally forgot to snap a picture, by the way I ordered Murtabak Ayam and it cost me SGD6. The price is pretty fair to me since it filled with loaded of chicken.

We went back to KL the following day by plane, and I managed to take some picture of Changi Airport Terminal 1.

Oh, that's all I guess. No stunning picture here since I took using my phone (ehem execuses)
Maybe next time =)

My trip to Lion City

My sis and I already plan nk pergi USS last April, but due to some reasons tak jadi pergi. Mungkin bukan rezeki, takpe la redha je.Tapi niat dihati nak dapat satu lagi cop dekat buku merah, before buku merah tu expired.. ^o^ and yes yang terdekat ialah Singapore and mmg aim nk ke sane because I miss Singapore already.. hihi

Last month, someone from the office PM me and asked if I want to join a new technology training, of course I said Yes!! Tanpa berfikir panjang pulak tu, and apparently the training is held at Singapore. So its like dapat rezeki berganda. I mean yea I always want to learn new technology and out of blue someone offer me, bukankah itu rezki namanye? and kt Singapore pulak tu that's why I called it as rezeki berganda!! Alhamdullilah.. Yeayy

So we left from KLIA2  ( my first time there! It is HUGE!!!) at wee hour and reach Changi Airport at 7AM. Grab some breakfast at the airport and took taxi to the training centre. Bla.. bla .. bla until 5, finally took a taxi and check in Hotel. What a long day!! The hotel located at Telok Blangah and it is quite near to the MRT station. Its like 10 to 15 minutes walk. For the first night since we already had a very long day, we decided to have a dinner to the nearest Halal food which is located near to the Harbour Front station. Nothing special, I ate Mee goreng Mamak from Mamak stall which cost me SGD4.

The hotel do not provide breakfast, so the next morning we wake up early and planned to have a breakfast at the training centre instead. My oh my, we have no idea how to take a taxi from the hotel. Dekat Malaysia, dimana-mana sahaja anda boleh tahan teksi yea, correct me if I'm wrong. Hotel staff cakap boleh ambil teksi depan hotel je, so kami pun berusaha bersungguh-sungguh berdiri di tepi jalan sambil menahan teksi, but non of the taxi yang stop! non hado!

In the attempt to stop the taxi

My friends suggest to cross the street and try tahan dekat situ pulak. Hmm lagi teruk, it was a bus stop! Plus ade line kuning, which means jalan dkt situ specifically untuk bus sahaja! So jalan and jalan lagi ke depan sambil berdoa ade taxi yg sanggup cut the rules and ambil kami. And finally, ada jugak.. ^-^. The driver taxi told us that usually expatriate did not know the rules, ^o^ same here. So I asked about booked fees and he told us that if you called a day earlier to book taxi the booked fares are SGD8, but if you call on the spot booked fares around SGD2.80 but you have to wait 5 to 10 minutes for the taxi to arrive, hey its totally ok! 5 to 10 minutes is not that long =)

Oh, I'm going to continue this by tomorrow =)

Bye for now.

Grief

Since the past 17 day ago, we never stop praying for mh370. I believe most of us hoping for the best and some miracle might happen. As a small human being and as a Muslim, we believe in qada and qadar. We pray to the Almighty for the guidance and to ease our search. I believe our government have try the very best to tackle the issue.

Since day 1, a lot of speculation here and there. But none of them we can confirm true or not. But for me the most important thing is if we could save any soul in the missing plane. 26 country involve in the SAR, searching for mh370. Everyone is puzzled, for the family of course worried to the dear missing family members in plane is their priority.

Even tough I'm not related to any of the passengers or crews, but I still feel the pain, worries, anxiety and curiosity. I believe family members had to swallow more than this. Please be strong and keep on praying. Allah knows what the best, keep your faith strong.

Yesterday our PM announce the most heart breaking news.

" It is therefore with deep sadness and regret that I must inform you that, according to this new data, flight MH370 ended in the southern Indian Ocean." -DNS

Of course this is not the end. It is a beginning of a new chapter. I do really hope a miracle could happen. My condolences to the family members. Al fatihah to the Muslim, and lets pray for the very best.

I miss my blog!

Again and again.. almost forgot that i owned a blog! A lot of thing happen actually.. but since i moved my place in the office, from personal cubicle to a more open space and no privacy place, i choose not to blog. Erm malu kot.. hihi
Oh I also already installed this app on my phone, blogger. So i guess i'll update anything from here only  φ(◎◎へ)
Hey the most exciting happened besides my parents visit us in kl, i received my photobook! Which i bought from groupon. It is a good way to keep all the memories.
I've once lost our precious memory both in our DSLR and laptop, because both of the items were stole from us. But sometime it may also happens when our hdd crash or our memory card crash. So to print out everything, it may sounds a good solution. But l've tried and it kinda cost me a bit and i've to buy a nice photo album and sometimes before i get the album the pictures already scattered everywhere.. hihi im not a good keeper
So for now I am going to stick to photobook. =)
