Yummy tummy

 

Beautiful  morning, today I gonna share about food, food and food. 2nd visit to sushi king this month make me a little bit disappointed with their service, no welcoming service, no smile, no greetings and the worst there's one lady keep on chasing us from sitting on the bench. She insisted us to seat on the stool. Well you can talk to us properly and nicely, surely we have no problems. 5-10 min sitting on the stool, no one take our orders, and I already began moody and wanting to get out from there. But since we were there because hubby wants to eat salmon, I tried my best to maintain my mood. After a while, there's another two empty bench, I confirmed before this a couple sat there (means 2 couple here, each one bench, you know what I mean, there's 2 table empty) quickly I asked hubby to move over there (I am stubborn) Waiting, waiting and waiting, till I thought we are invisible, no crews care to take orders or even to clean up the table. We had to wait until one of the waiter pass by and finally call him to clean up table and take orders. So this is what we had that day.

Yea, although we had a very bad experience in the beginning, but the food treat us well. And before going back home, we managed to catch some donuts for our dinner.

chocoholic

I am chocoholic!! Current obsession, Mud Chocolate Cake. Personally I do not know how to bake one, but from goggling I found out it is made from dark chocolate with a dash of coffee.  Have a look!



 

 

This is madness. Cant get enough of it. Yesterday I tried Mud chocolate cake from Nandos.

The cake is extremely moist and rich, melt in your mouth. Yummy, yummy!! Oh I tried from MFM before as well. The cake covered with nuts.. This one also yummy!!

My Meehoon

First trial is a failure. I don't even think it is edible, so I just threw it away. What a waste! It happened like a year ago. Ever since, I never ever try not even think to cook meehon again. No way! I surrender.
 
But yesterday dear hubby tell me he want to eat meehon, but sadly in the café there's no sign of meehon at all. All gone, he's too late for breakfast. Even meehon tray are also gone! Sad story from him. I know the feeling, trust me.
 
Realizing my role as a wife, I persuade him I will cook meehon for him tonight. Aamaigad what have I done! So I just browsed around to get tips and recipes. Here we go, I encounter one blog that gave tips and recipes at once! Here the tips:
 
1. Soak the vermicelli for a few minutes with hot boiling water.
2. After it is tender, quickly splash with running pipe water ( its to prevent vermicelli become to soft or flaccid)
3. To cook vermicelli, you can use one hand to hold the scoop and the other hand to hold fork. You can use fork to help you spread vermicelli with blended ingredients evenly.
 
The good thing if we use hot waiter, its only takes few minutes for vermicelli to soft rather than you soak it for few hours and still it is stiff. And here the recipes. The very basic Meehon Goreng recipes.
 

Half pack of  rice noodle
Prawns (put as many as you like)
2-3 cloves of garlic and red onion
3 tbsp dried blended chili (blend together with the onion and shrimp paste) I used dried shrimp
2 tablespoon Chili  sauce
2 tablespoon soy sauce (creamy-sweet or thick)
Eggs to make omelette and cut for garnish
Red chili for garnish
Salt
 

Methods 

 

1.    After the vermicelli is tender, tossed it so that excessive water will drain.

2.    Heat the oil in a wok. Sauté blended ingredients, fry until fragrant.

3.    Put all the sauces and stir. Add sugar and salt to taste.

4.    Add prawns and stir-fry until cooked.

5.    After boiled, add tossed vermicelli and stirred until all well mixed

6.    For garnishing, sprinkle with cut  omelette, red chilies.

GE 13th

Our PM just announced the King had consented to dissolution of Parliament today. Finally, after all the long waited and most anticipated event this year, it's happening. The election must be held within 60 days from today. It' means the latest should be before 2nd June.

I am in between, I'm not in any political pro. So I guess I really need to think deep enough which party will get my vote. Perhaps Solat Isthikarah will help. So do you guys, please think deep enough and put aside all the hatred, gossip, slander,  which we'll never know which one is true. And the most important thing, lets Vote! =)

 I wont tell the ending. You should watch this! It's a must. Beautiful pictures, beautiful story. They earned 5 stars from me.

 Oh, I am so proud of our dearie Yuna. The soundtrack includes an original song performed by Owl City and Yuna.

Another Joy

Despite of having lunch with hubby at all time favourite restaurant, today is a bonus! We met Qi. Yes, before Ikram Dinzly became a host for Jalan Jalan Cari Makan, Qi was the host. So I guess for the new season, Qi will act as the new host. They are now shooting here!

Sadly we are too shy to say Hi! But I managed to capture some pictures. Oh, today is super crowd, usually we will have a seat in the restaurant, but no empty seat available when we arrives. Instead we just sat outside. So the pictures are taken from outside of  the restaurant. =( if we were arrived earlier, they must probably interviewed us! Argh, I can see Qi is busy chatting with customer inside the restaurant.! Jealousy mode.

my sunday

Yesterday I had a really great weekend, not to mention hubby standby call. My crave for Japanese food is turn out to as we are having sushi buffet all you can eat at the restaurant . Sitting besides to moving sushi lane (kaiten belt) , it's hard to resist those sushi. We ended up order main course for each of us and keep on reaching sushi plate on the conveyer belt. Happy mode turn on.
